Asynchronous electric motor
The iEM-II-1900 air-cooled synchronous electric motor has a high torque and is intended primarily to replace the outdated asynchronous electric motor with a gearbox with a capacity of up to 250 kW for a much more economical gearless electric drive (direct drive) in industrial automation systems, pumping equipment and ventilation. This “upgrade” of the electric drive provides not only an impressive reduction in the mass-dimensions of the electric motor (more than 5 times!), But also reduces energy consumption, excluding heat losses in the gearbox, by 15-30%, depending on the operating mode of the electric drive!
Thanks to the modular design and hollow shaft, each iEM-II-1900 based actuator can accommodate up to three iEM-II-1900 modules on a single shaft, providing both torque and power scaling and redundancy:
